The ACETO 2025 educational trip to Japan was a remarkable journey filled with learning, cultural discovery, and unforgettable moments. From the moment students landed, the adventure began—with scenic train rides from Kansai to Shin-Osaka, then on to Tsuruga, where our first meaningful stops awaited us: a visit to Nyu High School and a tree planting ceremony that symbolized friendship and sustainability. Along the way, we were treated to our first authentic Japanese sushi meal—an exciting start to our culinary experiences.Throughout the trip, students had the opportunity to engage with various aspects of Japanese education and culture. Visits to the University of Fukui and Asahi Elementary School offered valuable insights into the Japanese education system, while a formal meet with the Mayor of Echizen Town added a diplomatic touch to our itinerary. Our exploration continued with a tour of the Echizen Crab Museum, where we learned about local marine life and fishing culture. The group also immersed themselves in hands-on experiences, such as traditional Japanese pottery-making at the Echizen Pottery Village. A visit to the Fukui Dinosaur Museum brought excitement and awe as we explored one of Japan’s best natural history museums. Mealtimes were just as memorable—with soba noodles and tempura for lunch, and bento sets for dinner, giving us a real taste of Japan. One of the most exciting highlights was our visit to Universal Studios Japan. After a series of train rides—including the Shinkansen, express, and local trains—students spent a day full of thrills, entertainment, and joyful memories. Despite the long walks and packed schedule, the excitement never faded. The ACETO 2025 trip was more than just travel—it was a journey of growth, learning, and connection. Our students returned with broadened horizons, deeper appreciation for different cultures, and memories that will last a lifetime.
