At Asia Pacific Schools (APS), our motto—Where Community Meets Excellence—defines everything we do. Our recent two-week English Summer Camp was a true testament to that spirit, bringing together our local school community and visiting families from Korea for an unforgettable educational journey. Immersive Learning & Cross-Cultural Connections From day one, our campus was filled with vibrant energy as we welcomed visiting Korean families and campers aged 7 to 12. The programme kicked off with guided campus tours and paired our Korean guests with local APS buddies to ensure a smooth transition into daily school life. Key highlights of the two-week English language immersion included: Interactive Language Practice: Building student confidence through communicative English lessons and collaborative classroom activities. Cultural Exchange: Fostering mutual understanding and global perspective between Malaysian and Korean students. Peer Mentorship: Experiencing daily campus life alongside dedicated student buddies. APS Curriculum Experience:Being able to experience lessons and activities alongside buddies and students of the similar age group. The Power of the APS Buddy System A special mention goes to our incredible Asia Pacific Smart School (APSS) buddies, who stepped up as mentors, guides, and friends. By opening their classrooms, sharing language tips, helping our Korean guests navigate the campus, and sharing daily laughs, our students exemplified the very best of global citizenship. While our friends from Korea have safely returned home, the lifelong international connections forged during this programme truly prove that learning goes far beyond the classroom.
