Our APSS Secondary Rugby Team, Black Mamba, achieved a historic milestone by securing 3rd place in the Cup category at the recent MSSD Rugby Competition. This marks the team’s first time competing in the highest tier – a significant leap from their 5th-place finish in the Plate category last year.Since 2023, the team has demonstrated remarkable development under Coach Halim. This year’s performances is a testament to their hard work, resilience, and commitment. Black Mamba delivered an impressive run, winning all group stage matches and advancing through the quarter-finals, before narrowly missing the final after a closely contested semi-final against SMK BSD 2, losing by just two tries.Adding to this success, four APSS players have been selected for the MSSS selection, representing Petaling Utama at the state level – an exceptional achievement for the players.As the only private school in Petaling Utama participating in rugby, this accomplishment is a proud moment for the entire APS community. This success has been bolstered by the unwavering dedication of our parents, whose support has played a vital role in the team’s journey.Congratulations to our players and coaches for their dedication and perseverance.
