Double Silver Sparkle for APS at Sri KL Invitational!

16-04-2026

The APS track and field stars turned the Panasonic Stadium in Shah Alam into a showcase of speed and grit this morning. In a day defined by "silver linings," both the boys’ and girls’ squads stormed the podium to secure Silver medals in the 4x100m invitational event.

Record-Breaking Boys

It wasn't just a podium finish for the boys' team; it was a historic sprint. Despite coming in second, the boys clocked a blistering 45.38s, effectively shattering the previous event record of 45.58s.

The Boys' Line-up:

  • 1st Leg: Addyn (5N)
  • 2nd Leg: Danial (5J)
  • 3rd Leg: Zain (5V)
  • 4th Leg: Ethan (11A)

Girls End the 5-Year Wait

The girls' team delivered a performance fuelled by determination, crossing the finish line with a time of 58.07s. This victory was particularly sweet as it ended a five-year podium drought for the APS girls' relay team, marking a triumphant return to the top tier of competition.

The Girls' Line-up:

  • 1st Leg: Alya (10A)
  • 2nd Leg: Myra (5M)
  • 3rd Leg: Soraya (4J)
  • 4th Leg: Ranya (5M)

A Foundation for MSSD

With the MSSD championships on the horizon, these results serve as a powerful statement of intent. The coaches and athletes have set a high bar, proving that APS is a force to be reckoned with this season.

A Special Thanks: Success is a team effort. A massive shout-out to our dedicated coaches and the parents who brought the energy to the stands: Mr. Carl, Mr. Ali, Mr. Nazim, Mr. Fazli, Ms. Najwa, Ms. Shirly, and Ms. Elina.

Kudos to all our athletes! Onward to the next race!
